FAQ

FAQ

What's the difference between K-means and Median cut?

K-means groups similar colors to find representative ones, which suits photos. Median cut splits the color space in half repeatedly for an even spread, which suits illustrations and images with bold colors. Try both and keep the palette you like.

Can I use the colors as CSS variables?

Yes. Choose CSS under EXPORT to get variables like --color-1 inside :root, and change the variable name if you like. SCSS variables and JSON are available too.

Is my image uploaded?

No. All color analysis happens in your browser and your image is never sent anywhere.
