    What's supported

    JPG
Reads EXIF (camera, lens, exposure, GPS, embedded thumbnail). Removal cuts out only the metadata segments without re-compressing the photo, so there's zero quality loss.
    PNG
Reads and removes eXIf chunks (EXIF), tEXt, iTXt and zTXt text, and tIME. Image data stays untouched.
    WebP
Reads and removes EXIF and XMP chunks. Image data stays untouched.
    Other
HEIC, GIF, RAW and other formats can't be read yet. For iPhone photos, use the Most Compatible camera setting or convert HEIC to JPG first.
    Location removal
Removes EXIF GPS data, XMP GPS, city and country fields, and IPTC city and country fields. The camera maker's private area (MakerNote) is left alone, so use Remove all to wipe everything.

    FAQ

    FAQ

    Are my photos uploaded?

No. Photos are read and cleaned entirely in your browser. Only if you open a map link is the location sent to that map site.

    Does removing metadata reduce quality?

No. Only the metadata segments are cut out of the file; the image itself isn't recompressed, so the pixels are identical.

Do social networks remove location data?

Many do, but not all, and messaging apps or email often send the original file. Removing location yourself before sharing is the safest option.

Can it read iPhone HEIC photos?

Not yet. Set the iPhone camera format to Most Compatible, or convert the photo to JPG first.
