HOW TO

How to use

  1. Press Open photo, or drop or paste an image. A sample landscape is loaded to start.
  2. Pick an effect: Duotone, Halftone or Original color.
  3. For duotone, choose a preset or set the shadow and highlight colors and contrast. For halftone, set dot size, angle and ink and paper colors.
  4. Add film grain with Amount and Grain size, then drag the center line to compare with the original.
  5. Choose PNG or JPG and press Save image.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. All filters run on a canvas in your browser, and your photos never leave your device.

What resolution is the saved image?

It's saved at the original resolution. Very large photos are scaled down to 4096px on the long side, and dots and grain are scaled to match the preview.

What's the difference between duotone and halftone?

Duotone maps the photo's brightness to two colors, from shadows to highlights. Halftone rebuilds the image from dots of different sizes, like printed newspapers and posters.
