FAQ
How does upside-down text work?
The letters are put in reverse order and swapped for Unicode characters that look like them flipped, such as a→ɐ and e→ǝ. Because it's real text, not an image, you can paste it into social media bios, usernames and messages.
Why do some characters show up as boxes (□)?
A few of the flip characters are uncommon Unicode symbols, so some devices or apps don't have a font for them. Check how it looks before you send it to someone.
Does it work with every language?
Backwards text and reversed word or line order work with any language. Upside-down and mirror text mostly work with Latin letters and numbers; characters without a look-alike stay as they are.
Is my text saved?
Only your last input is kept in this browser (localStorage) so you can pick up where you left off. Nothing is sent to a server, and Clear empties both the box and the saved text.
